Second burglary for 2008 at Total Solutions

TOTAL Solutions Service Centre was robbed early yesterday morning when burglars broke into the Robb and King Streets, Georgetown building and carted off approximately $450,000 in booty.

The proprietor, Mr. Arvind Parag told the Guyana Chronicle entry was gained through the roof about 02:00 h.

He said the thieves ripped out zinc sheets and went through the ceiling to get inside.

They stole mainly cellular phones, six of which belonged to customers who took them for repairs, as well as brand name colognes, Parag reported.

He said to gain access to what was stolen, the robbers smashed all the showcases and that made it inconvenient for the business to open yesterday.

Parag said, instead, they instead had to concentrate on repairing the damage done in this second burglary for the year, following the first, last July, when $2M in merchandise was taken. (Telesha Persaud)
